She sat in the team meeting with the new customer for a large custom home. She was currently managing 3 projects including the company’s largest project. As introductions went around the room, everyone was introduced as Chief Estimator, Project Manager, etc. Nicole was introduced as “Nicole”. The project manager on the largest current project was not introduced with her title of “Project Manager”. A simple slight, but one that went to her core. From that moment on, her heart was not in it, she noticed things were slipping. She had worked so hard but still had not gained the respect others in the room had. (true story)
